Meet Gillian and Julie, our yoga teachers
Gillian, a devoted yoga practitioner and teacher since 2002, brings vast experience to her classes. She studied Ashtanga yoga in Mysore, India, under masters Pattabhi Jois and Sharath Rangaswamy. Gillian refined her skills with teachers like Richard Freeman, Kathy Cooper, and Paul Dallaghan, learning advanced pranayama and yoga philosophy.
Her commitment to holistic well-being extends to prenatal yoga, restorative practices, and yoga nidra, which she studied with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli. Trained in teaching children’s yoga by Susannah Hoffman of Triyoga London, Gillian integrates yoga into daily life, aiming to empower individuals, especially parents, to build resilience and mindfulness. For Gillian, yoga transcends physical practice, enriching personal well-being and connections.
Julie, a devoted mother of three, began her yoga journey a decade ago amidst the demands of working parenthood. Amid career pressures and an ever-growing to-do list, she sought solace in yoga, guided by Gillian. Over time, Julie deepened her yoga understanding through teacher training with Linda Munro and GĂ©rald Disse in Paris. She also studied Yin Yoga with Paul Grilley and Kids Yoga with Nancy Frohlick.
In Julie’s classes, she blends asanas with mindful breathing to foster strength and confidence. She believes yoga is essential for balance and energy in today’s fast-paced world. Through her teaching, Julie empowers students to find joy and resilience on and off the mat.
