Many of our yoga classes are based on traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga as developed by Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India.
The Ashtanga practice follows a set sequence of postures, starting with sun salutations, then standing and seated postures, and finally a finishing sequence and rest. The literal translation of “Ashtanga” means “eight limbs” which refers to the eight limbs of yoga set out in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. These limbs describe various stages of yoga practice above and beyond yoga on the mat.
At mamalove.lu, we offer a variety of yoga classes designed to meet diverse needs and levels. Our Ashtanga yoga sessions provide a dynamic and structured practice, synchronizing breath with a set sequence of postures to build strength and flexibility. For children, our yoga classes are fun and engaging, fostering mindfulness and physical activity in a playful environment. Men and athletes can benefit from our specialized sessions, which focus on enhancing performance and recovery through targeted yoga practices.
We also offer Vinyasa yoga, known for its flowing movements and breath coordination, suitable for all levels and perfect for those seeking a dynamic and invigorating practice. Our classes for moms provide a nurturing space to reconnect with the body and mind, helping to restore balance and well-being. Lastly, our restorative yoga sessions offer deep relaxation and stress relief, using gentle postures and props to support the body.
So whether you need a physical stretch, a mental break or a gentle helping hand on this crazy, beautiful path of life, come join us and find what you need right now. One. Breath. At. A. Time.
